Sounds great Kelly,

Remember seeing them back on the Signals tour when they really went for the synths and then last year at the o2

Would love them to come back to hear
"la ville stringato live2 one last time.

Re: Ramblin Man Fair this weekend

Lifelong ambition fulfilled, the whole trip cost a month's wages but worth every penny... the first gig on the Wednesday was excellent (as ever) but the 2nd Toronto date on the Friday was, by general concensus of all who I spoke to afterwards, the best they've EVER been... and on the Friday they played 'Losing It' live for the very first time ever. Very special memories.

Just hope they visit the UK one more time before hanging up their kimonos.

I did a European tour with dream theater about 5 years ago.

Re: Ramblin Man Fair this weekend
Joe, he was a young cordwangler,
Munging greebles he did go,
And he loved a bogler's daughter
By the name of Chiswick Flo.

Vain she was and like a grusset
Though her gander parts were fine,
But she sneered at his cordwangle
As it hung upon the line.

So he stole a woggler's mooly
For to make a wedding ring,
But the Bow Street Runners caught him
And the judge said "He will swing."

Oh, they hung him by the postern,
Nailed his mooly to the fence
For to warn all young cordwanglers
That it was a grave offence.

There's a moral to this story,
Though your cordwangle be poor,
Keep your hands off other's moolies,
For it is against the law.

7 mate.

Arnhem, Munich, Barcelona, Berlin, Hampden, Dublin and Wembley.

Wembley was probably the worst (still great), sound issues.

.."after going to see Rush in Toronto last month".

Somewhat jealous.

I'm not going to ask how good they were because I already know the answer to that..

Some good acts on the bill for this one, (BOC, Scorps etc) would love to go but still absolutely potless after going to see Rush in Toronto last month.

Re: Ramblin Man Fair this weekend
Azel, how many times did you catch them?
Saw the one at Wembley was brilliant.

As for Sat it's n ot a bad line up. Shenks brother is still with the Scorps where as Michael is still doing the MSG thing or Temple of Rock these days. Saw back in Dec was pretty good.

It's not a bad line up and be good to catch FM, last time I saw that lot they were opening for Gary Moore and were sporting pink suits and massive hair.

Saxon always put on a decent show, and 'Biff' can still hold the notes.

Wouldn't mind catching some Prog heard some Harken and they are good.

Think the festival is a revamp of the High Voltage festivals they did a few years back in Victoria Park

If you go and see a bloke walking around with a Ronnie Dio top and St Pauli hat with cuts all over his face. Say hello I'll get you a beer.

I'm going on Saturday only. Don't like the Sunday line up one bit. Looking forward to seeing the Scorpions, and saxon and dream theatre. Should be good hopefully.

My face is still fucked, should look at home in the crowd of denim and leather.

Never seen DT, Lookin foward to seeing Blue Oyster Cult and Zee Scorpions never seen to put on a bad show, despite being a bunch of oldies.

Do you mean the falling off a bike type of headbanger?

Bungo 10:38 Wed Jul 22
Re: Ramblin Man Fair this weekend
I might head down on Saturday too.

I used to be a huge Dream Theater fan but haven't seen them now for a few years. Saw them at The Astoria when they covered the whole of Number of The Beast album, and at Hammersmith when they covered Dark Side of The Moon amongst various other shows.

Be good to see the Scorps too before they die.

Being a 'fair weather only' festival goer, I'll make sure it's going to be nice before committing.
